Slice switches to esports mode

How to reach Generation Z in environments where attention is truly present? The answer increasingly lies in esports. With the launch of Slice teams competing in Brawl Stars and Fortnite, RMB is entering a market still largely untapped in Belgium and creating new communication opportunities for brands. On the agenda: native content, streaming, brand activations, and a first visionary partner, Keytrade Bank.

The big leap into esports

Esports is currently experiencing spectacular growth worldwide. More than just a hobby, it has become a world of entertainment followed daily by millions of players and viewers.

It is in this context that Slice, RMB's content agency, launches two Brawl Stars teams—including the first female team in this circuit—as well as a Fortnite team to join official competitions.

This initiative marks a strong ambition: to offer advertisers privileged access to young, engaged communities that are hard to reach through traditional media. By investing in a Belgian market still developing, RMB takes on a pioneering role.

Slice aims to become the Belgian partner of the creator economy. Discovering the potential of Belgian esports, we chose, together with Keytrade, to launch our own teams as a first step towards new territories, at the crossroads of content, gaming, and communities, perfectly aligned with RMB's bold and innovative DNA.

Why Esports Appeals to Brands

Why is it interesting for brands to invest in esports? Because it combines what few channels can offer simultaneously: audience, engagement, content, and conversation.

Esports allows you to reach the Generation Z, connected and hard to reach through traditional channels, in environments they naturally frequent: Twitch, TikTok, YouTube, Discord, and Instagram. Interactions there are direct, frequent, and authentic.

The games selected by Slice offer complementary advantages. Brawl Stars gathers over 73 million active players each month thanks to its fast and accessible mobile format. A global competitive gaming reference, Fortnite unites a massive and passionate audience.

For brands, esports thus becomes a real lever for visibility, influence, and community activation.

Three Teams, One Ambition

For its entry into the official circuit, Slice relies on three teams capable of embodying excellence and progress.

In Brawl Stars, a men's team made up of players recognized on the European scene will be accompanied by a promising women's team. An initiative that helps diversify and enrich the esports ecosystem. Both teams will operate under the leadership of Nikounaki, considered one of the best Belgian coaches in the discipline.

On the Fortnite side, Slice bets on two Belgian players ranked among the world's top talents, with the ambition to make the project shine well beyond our borders.

These teams have been competing since May 2026 on Twitch for live streams, and also benefit from a presence on other main broadcast platforms (Instagram, X, and Discord)

The Slice project, designed as a launch phase until the end of 2026, aims to evolve into a broader and more structured esports ecosystem, integrating content, competitions, and brand activations.

Keytrade Highlights the Vanguard

The first partner of Slice's esports project, Keytrade Bank perfectly embodies the spirit of the initiative: daring to explore new territories ahead of others. True to its innovative DNA, the online bank confirms its commitment to investing in emerging environments capable of creating new forms of connection with audiences.

The online bank becomes both sponsor of the teams and main partner of the upcoming Slice League. Its presence will extend to competitions, livestreams, social networks, and various content produced around the project.

More than a visibility campaign, this partnership shows how a brand can naturally integrate into a gaming community and build a lasting relationship with its audience.
