Key trends revealed:

  • despite a drop in global sales compared to 2023, gaming remains the No.1 digital entertainment sector in Belgium.
  • video game consumption continues to go digital (75% of average quarterly consumption in 2024 vs. 67% in 2023), although retail channels (webshops & physical stores) still see peaks at the end of the year.
  • live streaming is a daily habit: 158,000 Belgians (vs. 140,000 in 2023) tune in each day to watch live streams.
  • virtual sports are booming: football, led by EA SPORTS FC 25, remains a powerful economic engine with over €13.6M in revenue generated.
